October Adventures!

October was a blur, and so much fun! We had a full house of visitors: Grannie, Aunty Traci, and Obaban came to visit. Uncle Mike, Aunty Yumi, Zoey, Kiley and Aunty Pat also were here (staying on the south side Waiohai). It was so fun to see the little kids play together. Levi was just getting over his bad cold, so it was good timing. It is hard doing long events with little ones because someone always has to take a nap, but we were able to get in some pool time and lots of eating time!

Opening up all our presents!

Huh?

Zoey and Grannie

It was a challenge to get them both looking and somewhat smiling at the same time!

Playing in the pool at the Waiohai. Levi had a blast!

Look at Kiley! So cute!

Grannie and Zoey QT time.

Please, please, please...

Levi was crawling all around the sand, then decides to climb on Daddy's back and get him all sandy too!

Pool time again!

Cheers!

We tried to get them to take a picture together (again), but this is what we were dealing with...

Zoey????

Wow! They are all looking!

Picnic at the beach... Levi was hungry already and dug in to the noodles before we even took off the covers!

Sick Boy

It seems as if since Levi started day care, he has been sick constantly. He just got over a runny nose for 3 weeks, then he spiked a fever of 104! That turned in to a mean rumbling cough and so we decided to bring him to the doctor. The doc prescribed some antibiotics. Poor guy, he has been lots of fun lately, but with his colds, he just isn't his happy self.

Levi usually goes to bed on his own, but he had a hard time calming himself. Darin is just soaking up being a dad right here. Even despite the challenges with a sick baby, nothing is better than to have a peaceful sleeping baby in your arms.

Did I do that???
Even if Levi felt bad, he found that playing in our kitchen drawers to be a bit of a distraction from his pain.

Brought dinner for the Terui. Welcome baby Kaira!

Bubbles! This is one of Levi's first words along with Dada, ba-bowl, nu-do (noodle), he-o (hello), do (dog).... no mommy yet though!

Pizza Night!

Our friends, Casey and Marcel, were home visiting, and so we got together and did a pizza night! Everyone brought some toppings and we crafted some pizzas with naan flat bread, and Darin fired them up on the grill outside. We cut them into small pieces, and then everyone got to sample each other's creations. It was a great night of hanging out with friends!

The pizzas!

I didn't get a picture of everyone, but here pictured is David, Heath and Tiff

Polihale

We were able to make it Polihale on one Saturday in September. It was unplanned, but worked out well for several of us. Levi had so much fun even if he had a runny nose. His nose just collected more sand! The thing about babies and sand is - we just have to tolerate it.... they will never stay free of sand from the beach!

It was Andy and Michelle who thought of the idea, and got all of us to meet them out there.

Char and Even Burgess (from our Ohana group at church) call Levi "Chubby Cheeks". This was Char's first time out at Polihale.

Tobi and Hanna had fun too!

Soon, we took off Levi's diaper, and he was running around with a naked bottom!

Levi was ordering food from Evan's kitchen :)
