Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! Darin was in charge of the turkey again this year, and he took on the task. The timing of finishing the bird was perfect, and we got food on the table by lunchtime! I started to come down with something that day though, and was burning up with a fever and no appetite. Booooooo! I had to take a nap in the afternoon, while Darin and and family took care of our kids. I think I caught a sort of flu, and I'm glad I didn't spread it to anyone there! 

Even though Thanksgiving was a blur for me, we got to at least spend it with friends and family. I think more than  half the people there flew in from Oahu, and flew out that day. We had fun playing games, stealing presents from each other, and talking story. The kids even got to fish in the pond behind our house (while I napped, shucks). 

The Weekend!

This weekend was so much fun, we kicked it off with Levi actually wanting to take a picture with Lily and Tobi! CHEEEEEEESE! I took as many as I could with those precious 10 seconds of smiles that I could get. Haha! The following two pics were probably our best ones. 

Friday afternoon, we decided to go to Kauai Beer Company with Andy, Michelle, Mark, Shane and Stacey. They are hosting a menu there on Friday nights, and the food has been pretty good so far. It was nice to get out of the house and hang out with friends, even though we usually go home by 8 pm! Our lives have changed a lot since kids.

We got a lot of chores done on Saturday morning and then went to Kalapaki for the afternoon. It was so hot and sunny, for being the end of November.

We also got to head to Kitchens after church on Sunday and Darin and I actually jumped in the water for a quick surf session (tag-team). It was nostalgic to be in the water at a place we surfed almost every day B.C. (before children). Not the best waves, typical wind chop, but it was fun to be out there.

Levi's smile is so contagious, but it's few and far between... maybe that's why it's so worth it when he actually does smile?

Lily is 5 months old

So a lot has happened since our last post, and the biggest thing was being apart from Darin for 3 weeks! It's been such a blurrrrr and Darin could say so himself, we've been "surviving" to say the least. Darin has been back home for a week, and we were able to breathe, and enjoy a lovely sunny weekend too! Especially since it's almost Thanksgiving, and winter is fast approaching!

Yes, time is flying by, and Lily is now on day 3 of sleeping in her own room! She has been in our room since birth, and sometimes in our bed! She is doing well so far, and Darin and I have been able to breathe easy in our own room. Darin said he forgot how our TV remote worked since we hardly got to watch TV in our room since Lily came along! LOL :)

Lily can now sit up on her own - still topples over once in a while, and still drooling like crazy. Anyone who sees her usually comments on her hair. One of my friends asked if I cut her hair like that! LOL. I love every thing about her little mohawk, but so sad to say that her hair is slowly starting to fall down. Levi got most of his unsolicited comments about his chubby cheeks!
