Happy Halloween!

Darin was in VA the week before Halloween for work. My parents were such a huge help during the week - cooking dinner, watching the kids while I taught my evening class, and bathing the kids too! On Friday night we tried to make the most of it and I cooked dinner, invited my parents over, and had the Burgess' over to carve and paint pumpkins. Aunty Char's birthday was the following day, so we had a birthday song and some cake for dessert! I think Emma ate most of the cake... and had the rest for breakfast!

Levi has entered this phase where he won't let me take any pictures of him. So most of the pictures will be of him yelling NOOOOOOO to the camera... sigh...

Day 2, Levi painted his pumpkins some more. Grandma came over and painted with him too!

We also got to go to Isaiah's birthday party on Saturday night. The kids showed so much restraint when the pinata got busted open that Kandice kept filling it with candy and the kids kept taking turns to hit it. It was quite the ninja turtle party! Equipped with nun-chucks, turtle shells, goody bag pizza boxes, and of course, pizza for dinner! Char was a huge help in watching Lily or Levi as I attended to the other child.

Daddy came home on Sunday afternoon for the week of Halloween, and he got to witness our math department dressing up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Splinter and April Oniel included!). So I decided that Lily would be a baby ninja turtle as well! Levi chose his costume from Kmart - a dog, and he wore it at his day care on Friday.

Here we are with our UHCC president, John Morton, and our Chancellor Helen Cox.

She's got the Asian mask

I think we bribed him to smile with some gummies... he does look cute with a smile though!

Lily turns 4 Months

Lily made 4 months on October 17, and Levi is 26.5 months (or 2 years and 2.5 months) old. Lily can roll over (both ways), drools more than any baby I know, and has figured out how to grab things with her hands. She is so smiley and brings joy to our lives every day. Levi is learning to use more words, asserting his will by trying to do things on his own, and yes, throws tantrums like a pro!

October - Maui Stay-Cation

For the beginning of October, we got to spend the weekend on Maui with Darin's family. I unfortunately don't get to call in subs at the college, but have to ask my co-workers to cover my classes, so I only took Monday off, and Darin and Levi got to stay an extra day. It was great to catch up, and make new memories with everyone. Levi got some major pool time, and both babies slept soundly at night. Lily also got to get her feet wet at the pool for the first time too!

Lily's first plane ride!

Peek-a-boo

Guess who we saw at the airport?! Cade and Kenny were headed to the Big Island for judo!

All of them chasing Levi... couldn't get a nice pic of them since Levi wouldn't stay still!

Da Kitchen!

What a cutie!

Pool time!

Dean, Colton, Aunty Pat, Zoey, and Nicole

Lily meeting Obaban for the first time!

Christmas came early, Santa, hard at work!

Aunty Traci, Zoey and Levi working on coloring and painting

Pool time again!

Grilling some teriyaki for dinner

Exploring the beach while daddy cooks some dinner

Yes, we got to stay at Honua Kai for the weekend! Stay-cations are great!

Colton wanted to read to Lily, and Levi is being a protective big brother! haha!

Hummmm?? .... not sure about this water....

Hardest. Thing. Ever. - taking a pic of toddlers/babies where they are all smiling, looking, or even in the same pic!

Dinner with the family... family time was much better than the food that was there...

Levi, super excited to use his new Crocs! Thanks Aunty!

Family Photo

As you can see, we had a blast and ate a lot of food. It was a wonderful, but too short of a stay. I hope we are all able to see each other again - and it looks like next October for sure... if not sooner!
