The Millards' Happenings: ...and Levi turns ONE!!!!

Levi's birthday was more like a birth"week". He loved all the attention and just hammed it up. Uncle Royce and Aunty Amy came to visit from Wednesday - Saturday and they were able to celebrate on Levi's actual birthday (July 31st) and at his mini birthday party (August 3rd). Uncle Jed also flew in on late Friday night for Levi's birthday as well as our adventure into Kalalau (more about that in the next post). I was afraid that Levi would be scared of all the people coming into his house, but he was amazingly happy, and just made it the best birthday for everyone (including mommy!)... phew!

Since Royce and Amy came to visit for longer, we planned a day out at Anini and hoped to catch some oama. Amy has never fished for oama and has never touched a fish before, and so she was able to do BOTH! The oama weren't biting that great, but Darin caught more than all of us combined! He was catching them without even trying too hard. At least we had some pupus for dinner!

Levi's birthday party was lunchtime on Saturday. We just had it at our house and made it potluck. There was lots of yummy food and love all around. Every time people cheered for Levi, he would say "oooooOOOOoooOOOOOoooo!!!!!" then follow it up with a clap-clap. He loved every minute of his birthday party... including his cake!
